goodby cnn I'll be checking you out latter on the down side
my switch over for news to the internet tubes is now complete. After the lies by cnn of Michael Moore and sicko and yesterdays kyra phillip's comment, if you can stomach it, is the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

1. I can't watch any of them!
They make me ill, and you know with the state of health care in this country, you can't afford to get ill.

2. Also they bore the hell out of me.
I like to keep up on the news; but I can do that online, at my own pace without some idiot hairjob telling me what itmeans.

3. not so much they make me ill its they piss me off to no end
they pass themselves off as news when in reality they are only an arm of the re:puke: party, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that either. I see it and I'm just an average ole joe who shits behind my heels and wipes my own ass, nothing special here.

5. It is astonishing how a 24 hour news network can give so little news.
On Headline News a typical hour is 10 minutes of banter, 15 minutes of clips of what's coming up, 20 minutes of commercials and fifteen minutes of actual news, BUT that 15 minutes is maybe five different stories, show in 1 minute clips each repeated three times over the hour. With a one-minute clip there is no way you get a whole story with any depth or guarantee of accuracy.

I remember when CNN was a real news channel...

6. yes I could count on my digits the numbers of stories they have each day
over and over and over, don't mention what happens like when a white blonde girl comes up missing or anything like that, because then they embed until long past it being news, something tells me there is a lot of newsworthy events happening each and every day

8. I did that in 2004. right after that thing I still won't call an election
And, I have to say, I'm a whole lot saner
and don't miss it at all

With so many of us with our eyes on current events
posting about whatever happens
most of the time, I'm clued in
before my ex gets her verizon news alerts about something.

it happens all of the time.

I keep one tab open on LBN
and another on GD
(firefox)
