Vitter's Office Hung Up On Me!
Edited on Wed Jul-11-07 10:50 AM by demgurl
I just called his office saying he should step down and asking what kind of family values is it when you are hiring hookers. The guy asked what parish I reside in and when I said I do not he hung up as I was stating that I wanted Vitter to know how upset America really is. They hung up on me mid sentence. I think the heat may be getting to them!

I CALLED HIS OFFICE AGAIN.......

Talked to a nice young lady, Ashley. I got her name before I would even talk to her. I explained what happened and she said the phones 'are ringing off the hook' and she was sure it was a mistake. I explained it was not and asked her what she would say if I said I was a reporter from New York and I had everything on tape and now I will report that not only does Vitter hire hookers but his staff has no respect for the American people. She said, again, she was very sorry and that it never should have happened.

I guess the poor things are feeling overwhelmed with the scandal and all so please do not disturb these poor overworked people by calling the Washington office where I called (202) 224-4623 and make sure you do not get their name before you speak or else they may not be able to hang up on you or they may be held accountable!

3. Maybe if you had claimed to be a hooker yourself?
And offered a cut rate? I understand Mr. Vitter is used to paying up to $300 an hour; surely he'd entertain an introductory rate of only $250 an hour.

(Note: Not implying that our esteemed demgurl is a prostitute; merely suggesting a strategy for being heard by the Distinguished Gentleman's staff.)

7. gratuitous.....
I may not be a call girl but I would gladly sacrifice myself and give old bushie a blow job :puke: just to get rid of him. However, I will need money to see a psychiatrist for years after the incident!

After the way they hung up on me, I think I may actually call in saying exactly what you wrote. Not only does Vitter hire hookers but his staff are just rude!

45. Hey, I'm male, heterosexual and married for 16 years...
...and I'd give chimpy a BJ if that's what it takes to impeach him!!! Like you, I'd also need psychiatric help for years afterwards. But it may be the most patriotic thing I could ever do for this country in my lifetime.

52. If only it were that simple.
The thought of it makes me puke but the only way to get these folks to see their way to impeachment is to have * do exactly what Clinton did. With these folks treason is not an important enough reason to impeach. And when they get caught doing something they jump up and down saying, "But, but....they do it too!" What a bunch of children!

...meaning the people who are answering the phones...
are not going to be very happy with him for a while. :grr:
He does the dirty and has all the fun- and THEY catch the flying shit and schadenfreude from the populace.

Wonder, IF he shows his face at his office today (any bets on that?)...if he makes it out of the parking lot without somebody wanting to 'have a word with him' (read: hands his ass to him with a new one ripped in it)... :hide:

4. I'll bet the heat is on big time.
Wouldn't you just love to be in D.C. right now? Knowing at any moment that your name could be revealed as a customer who hired hookers?

There are some very anxious wives right now, too.

Karma is catching up to these hypocrites. I wonder how many of them voted against gay marriage under the lie of protecting the sanctity of marriage, all the while they were out poking some high priced whore.

These people really are too much. They get divorces, they have affairs, they hire hookers, and they have no qualms about denying others the same rights they enjoy. They deserve what they are about to receive.

I know there will be Dems on the list as well, but most of the Dems haven't been so outspoken about preventing gays from having the same rights as every other person on the street.

if they've done dirty deeds, they should be called on it.

I expect these people to uphold a higher standard than an ordinary American. They should know better, they should have a greater understanding of the laws.

And if they have so little respect for their spouses and their feelings, are they really going to care about what their constituents want?

I think not.

19. I think the error in their thinking is that......
if one side does it then you can point your finger at them when you get caught. I say our country is better than saying, "Oh well, I guess both sides do it." No, if both sides are doing it then both sides need to be kicked out. I am better than settling for the line that all the other kids do it and so we should allow them to do it. What has happened to this country? If both sides are doing it, get rid of BOTH sides!

It also could be that I am about to move to New Orleans but this guy did not give me the chance to say any of that! With all the trouble Vitter is already in, you'd think they would want to act with respect. Of course, my hubby pointed out that he bets they are getting so many calls that they have extra GOP volunteers helping today and those people have no real connection to Vitter's office! Whatever the case, I feel they could have acted with a bit more respect. I did not scream or use crude words, all I wanted to do was express my feelings about Vitter and his behavior.

6. I'm beginning to wonder about my congressman...
Lamar Smith. I have tried to contact him through various e-mail sites/services he has and the security deal....you know the type..."type the letters you see here"never works and keeps giving me more set of letters. Consequently, I have tried calling his office and I get a recording that they can't take calls and to call back. Maybe, he's hiding with Vitter! I have NO reason to even presume Smith is on the Madame's list; I'm writing this because I think our congressman are not eager to listen to their constituents.

Of course, that might not work so well when they ask for your name & address, which they did yesterday when I called them. I gave it to them. My real one, of course, because I don't have one in Louisiana anymore. But I did tell 'em what parish I'm registered absentee in. Whether they'll check my name on the voter rolls in that parish is anyone's guess. I'd just imagine they'd be a little bit too busy at the moment. The guy I spoke with yesterday sounded a bit, um, stressed.

I called and spoke with Park Jamison.
I told Park that I thought Vitter should resign; that I felt betrayed and lied to; and I asked him to have Vitter call me.
We'll see what happens.
I asked Park if he was getting any calls and he said that it was going "fine". I asked him if that meant that the calls from constituents were going "fine" or what?
He said that it meant that he, Park, was "fine" with getting everyone's name and address that called.
I asked if there were other people as upset as me.
He said he wasn't at liberty to say.
