The written Q&A should have preceded this inquiry. THEN she'd have no chance to act unprepared about "recall".
Ridiculous.

This is getting tiresome. To let these people continually get away with this, and have a member of the Judiciary Committee blatently advising her on how to get out of a contempt ruling is obscene! Enough is enough. Are there any balls at all in Congress anymore? ... Let alone even passing knowledge Constitutional law?

weakens the bush cabal's claim to Executive Privilege was unmistakable. It was a very clear "Oh SHIT" reaction. I LOVED it and loved that Leahy spelled it out to her, that was priceless.

|
Edited on Wed Jul-11-07 12:14 PM by PRETZEL
I'm hoping that the last little whisper in her ear from attorney was that she seriously fucked up. Leahy caught it in saying that in her opening statement as well as statements made by others that the President wasn't involved just takes any claims of exec. priveledge right out the window. Spector realized that also. He basically told her that she's been thrown under the bus and if you want to avoid another bus running over you you have some serious thinking to do.
I think Spector realized that he can't stop any contempt of Congress citations now.
edited for grammer.

34. This is GOOD. If Pres was involved = Exec. Priv., then she lied. It's TRAPS THEM. |
|
Taylor stated that the President was NOT involved, which seriously damages his claim of executive priv. However, if she backtracks on this claim to provide executive priv. coverage, then she lied to Congress. So, for Taylor it's a matter of a perjury charge or giving up the Pres. claim.
