So, Sara Taylor came before the Senator Patrick Leahey committee
...and did what Bush told her to do, she participated in the White House cover-up of crimes on the firings of the U.S. attorneys and as the result of her decision to not answer the committee's questions she will most likely now face Contempt of Congress charges. What about Harriet Meyers, is she also scheduled to testify? If yes, when?

7. Ahaaa, I'll be tuned in right at the beginning of that spectacle
...I expect her to exert executive privilege right up front and to dodge every question aimed at her from the democrats on the committee.

2. I think the former SCOTUS nominee is supposed to appear tomorrow.
Wouldn't swear to it, but I think that's what I heard. More likely more of the same from her...

3. Meyers is tomorrow. But as far as what Taylor said, didn't say, wouldn't say, or couldn't say, it's
all bullshit.

Right now, today, we need real leadership.

Senator Leheay needs to close the book on this issue, get up, and file the paperwork to bring Taylor up on contempt..and blow the lid off the White House.

Any bets out there in hopefull land?

My bet is, it ain't gonna happen.

6. Yep I agree with you, it's all for show.... The problem that I have...
is, since MSM is not showing these hearings... Who the hell is going to really know what went on as far as the masses go? So it's just more of the same...

5. She really made a hash of those executive privilege claims,
freely talking at some points about internal White House deliberations, then claiming "executive privilege" about others, usually involving questions, truthful answers to which could cause the White House real damage (i.e., Griffin).

8. It's the stupidity, stupid.
In the end, these people aren't nearly the evil geniuses they think they are. They don't realize that it's just a lot easier to follow the law and tell the truth.

9. She made mistakes and let bits of the truth to escape
but the media will not report them as they didn't when Doan testified and when Gonzales testified and so on.

We don't have a DoJ to back up Congress and the media makes sure the public isn't aware so that they will not stand up and support Congress.

I do not see what is next.

10. She's way too connected to the whole Pub Party to have given them
up along with her entire career for a hearing. She used to work for Abramoff before working for the Rover. She was not only proteting the Pubs, she was protecting her own career.

Look at history. The people who have really spilled the beans have always been relative newbies who were too young or too innocent to know what to lie about. Remember the "OH don't you know about the recording system in the WH?"

Leahey is NEVER going to get any breaking info from a Harriet Myers or Gonzo. Keep your eyes open for some low level schmuck who none of us know, to testify and simply tell the truth because they believe in doing so.

13. YEP! Leahey should look for the interns who have been fired or quit because they wouldn't go
along with the program. Believe me, those ignored folks know more than the top guys do!
