1. Is this the setup for a 911 style surprise?

If it is then they should all hang for it.

9. Just think of it: 2 911s happening on Bush's watch.

I think that giant sucking sound that you'll hear is smirks anus puckering as the crowd comes to cart him off the dungeon.

29. If you want a little more support for your "tinfoil" look at this quote
from Ex-senator Santorum....article written July 7,2007. Please don't flame me if you don't like this site as they are directly quoting Santorum....I haven't googled to see if I can find it elsewhere.

"Between now and November, a lot of things are going to happen, and I believe that by this time next year, the American public’s going to have a very different view of this war, and it will be because, I think, of some unfortunate events, that like we’re seeing unfold in the UK. But I think the American public’s going to have a very different view," said the former senator from Pennsylvania.

Is Santorum expressing foreknowledge of some coming atrocity or is he merely using a tactic familiar to the leadership of his party - exploiting the fear of terror for the purposes of political rhetoric?"

This is calling "wolf"....what if we had a REAL threat? Who would ever believe? Unfortunately, we're all well aware of how "they" handled the famous PDB in August of 2001. I also think these little warnings to the public-at-large gives them a sense of importance. Idiots.

10. This is how bad it's gotten for me
Last night on the subway I saw a man wearing a winter coat. It was 95 degrees in NYC yesterday.

As opposed to thinking he was a terrorist concealing a bomb around his waist, my brain churned out thoughts that he was working for those behind LIHOP/MIHOP, just a guy, on a subway, wearing a coat in 95 degree weather to add that extra special little element of fear in the minds of subway riders.

12. Not me, it's just lies and propaganda...
keep the masses scared, that's the only trick they have in their bag. They'd need serious help to carry out, or allow, some sort of attack, and pretty much everybody hates them at this point, including our own CIA.

Of course anybody can be bought for a price...but personally, I'm through being scared or intimidated by these assholes. Come what may.

18. This is a classic CYA move. Chertoff doesn't know what he's
doing, his department is in shambles and he is scared to death. He figures that after an attack he can say he warned us. This is a desperate move by a desperate man who may actually be worried about the wellbeing of the country, unlike his bosses.

27. any time they pull this tactic
my ears perk up. It's part of the whole 'Al Queda' line and the politics of fear they've always pushed. Whether it's just to take everyone's mind off the bad polls or bad press, or if they are plotting something more ambitious I don't know. But nothing is off the table with them, so I pay CLOSE attention when the 'they're coming to getcha' rhetoric heats up.

32. The only reason why I think they will do anything to prevent another attack
is that they keep telling us we are safer with Republicans in office.

We've already had the worst ever attack on American soil under their "leadership" :eyes:. Yet another one would be proof positive that we are indeed NOT safer with them in charge, and have in fact been hit TWICE under the GOP.

Americans would then be able to put two and two together, and figure out that if Bush had spent the money HERE instead of IRAQ, secured our borders, added police to the streets, and done the things recommended by the 9/11 Commission, we'd likely not have had a second attack.

I think another major attack would be the worst case scenario for the GOP, and for that reason I think they fear it more than we do.

It would also prove Bush's theory of "fighting them over there so we don't have to over here" is BULL.

46.  It bothers me too -
we don't know what he means exactly or why now all of a sudden he comes out with a statement like that . It could mean a number of things and we are left with guessing or possibly more fear tactics .

What strikes me is here we have Lieberman elected as a independant by repubs , Lieberman is a part of bush and now Lieberman is talking about action against Iran , it's like connect the dots time . And then Chertoff comes out with this gut feeling about a possible terrorist attack . This all happened in a short period of time .

These freaks always seem to plan far ahead of time . This is my concern .
