1. It must be, or they wouldn't bother. Vitters ain't that big a fish, worth destroying the pathetic
remnants of credibility they may think they have left.

Then again, perhaps they already know they have zero credibility left so they may as well stay the course. No Republican scandals, ever. Overblown or even fabricated Democrat scandals, always.

2. Ole dave is being raked over the coals
in New Orleans, on TV, radio and in the newspaper. Although he does have his supporters (on fox talk radio - imagine?) There is a groundswell of "resignation" in the air. I'd love for him to resign and Governor Blanco appoint herself to fill his term, and appoint Mitch Landrieu to take her current job. There would be mass republican suicide in the Bayou State.

6. Not if he resigns and we tell Joementum to take a goddamned hike.
I would wet up all my undies if that happened. I would personally fly to where Joe was and laugh in his fuckin FACE.

7. What more is there to day?
A senator few people have heard of admitted to hiring a prostitute years ago, before he was in the senate.

the story's been reported. What do you expect them to report today? there's nothing new to say.

8. Another Repug being a hypocrite?
Hardly huge. The meme is already to blow it off as "It's just Louisiana being Louisiana" and then bring up Jefferson.
