Gupta tries to defend his position on his blog

a lot of the comments, as you probably guessed, are not all that supportive of his position.

2. CNN and similar organizations suffer from poverty . . .
of the imagination, which means that when they interview someone like Moore, they're stumped about what to ask him. So, being under deadline and about as lazy as most other humans, they fall for whatever "worked" last time, and in Moore's case, how he "fudged" the facts in Fahrenheit 911 (let's not even get into whether "fudged" was the right term even then).

This is why blast faxes from the RNC always seem to show up in the major media within seconds of their transmission -- journalistic laziness and the sheep-like obeisance that reporters (regardless of their personal views) owe to their corporate bosses.

Don't call 'em shills, though -- they're flat-out slaves to the bosses (like most of us).

No apologism here, just an observation.

3. I wrote this last night, but I'll repeat here
Watching and listening Gupta just irritated me to no end
Notice how he kept saying, "Michael..."? That was so condescending, as if he were the "parent" talking to the "child." "You have to concede this point, Michael, that you're trying to lead people to believe ... that it is free..."

4. Since young people need less health care, if taxes were raised to
pay for a single payer system..that would help with medicare and bankruptcy. That is how it works everywhere else. Share the risk over the generations and you can afford the people with lots of ailments.

5. He acts like he was trying to bolster Michael Moores argument
When clearly he was trying to discredit him. What a fucker.

7. I got so tired of hearing, "I understand what you are saying, but the
American people can't." I translated that as, "I am beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, superior, and can talk 90 miles a minute without saying anything meaningful. You, Michael Moore, are dealing with a bunch of dumb asses."

8. Oh look, here's one more reason for me not to like him
"He reminded me that we are both from Michigan, although he favors the Spartans and I am a die hard Wolverine fan."

Arrogant asses.

Go State! :P
