Whats the statute of limitations on using a prostitute?

Isn't Vitter a confessed law breaker? So what if God has forgiven him. He lives in a land of laws and one of the laws (be it right or wrong) is that it is illegal to pay for sex. So is he susceptible to charges at this point or has the statute of limitations run out?

Oh, and should he be added to the sex offenders list?

I have an ex acquaintance caught in the act with a 24 yr old prostitute in Utah in 1987. She was giving him a hand job in his car. 10 days in jail. 4 years of probation and registered sex offender - I believe because his manhood "out in public" in the car.

I had a male teacher in HS in Ohio that got caught with a prostitute in his car. When the cops found them her chest was exposed and he was masterbating himself. He had to go on the sex offender registry too and lost his job.
