Keith gone again. It's getting old.

No criticism of guest hosts, but a lot happened today, and I was looking forward to Keith's take on it. With Jon Stewart gone constantly, too, it makes for a long, lukewarm summer.

I would need a week off after most of his, and certainly his most recent, "Special Comments." I am so grateful for what he does that I want him to take whatever time he needs- no complaints here.

He gets to take time off to follow his Yankees.

And - he works a lot more than just the hour a day show. He writes 90 percent of the show and does research for what he writes - he gets comp time, just like anyone else who has a half-way decent job.

OK, we're selfish. The country is going to hell in a handbasket, and I want the voice of sanity every evening that is Keith Olbermann.
