After Taylor's testimony today, I wonder...
how many youthful "loyal" idiots did they hire for WH duties? The reason I ask is that Ms Taylor is 32 and had been with the BFEE for eight years already. She tells the committee today that she "swore an oath to the President". Sen. Leahy forcefully reminds her that her oath is to the Constitution of the United States, not the president. erson

I wonder if some of the less experienced personnel are more likely to be loyal to DimSon vs the US Constitution, and that is why they were brought into the organization?

1. I think they sucked in all kinds of new grads
from bible schools all over the place, gave them glamor and their big chance at the big time, dazzled them all to hell and counted on their ignorance of how the world really works.

The only thing Congress needs to do with these sweet young things is throw them into jail until their memories are jogged, until they realize their little tin Jesus is NOT the king, lord and savior of this country, and until a lawyer is finally able to talk some sense into them.

They needed to do the same with Libby, but missed their chance.

"...throw them into jail until their memories are jogged, until they realize their little tin Jesus is NOT the king, lord and savior of this country..."

13. They are building an organization.
Democrats need to encourage young Democrats far more than they do. The old Republicans have lucrative jobs and think tanks, on TV and as lobbyists. Democrats don't offer those kinds of opportunities to Democratic activists. We don't have the money.

2. How do we know that she didn't also swear an oath to W?
Seems completely withing the realm of possibility to me.

The issue is the administration is filled with people of limited life experience who for whatever reason, have become authoritarian followers.

The reason Bush puts so much emphasis on loyalty is that loyalty tests filter out people who are not committed followers.

3. I think it is that very situation-- a younger, less-experienced
person is liable to be more "star-struck" and thrilled at being where all the action is, and that breeds a fierce loyalty--it's bred partially of admiration and also gratitude (and in no small portion fueled by a slight feeling of being overwhelmed and possibly surprised to be *here*...at such-and-such and age.)

(I confess a part of my imagination wondered if there wasn't a separate oath for certain loyalists that involved drawing a little blood and burning a holy card, but, well...)

5. Envision an induction ceremony with John Ashcroft ... and Crisco Oil.
  (I wonder if the sales of tarpaulins and white sheets when up at that time.)

8. so when they have memory lapses can' t congress ask them
if they are telling the truth when they say they don't know?
That way if somebody else confirms they did know then they would be perjurying and obstructing justice.
There must be some way to stop the fake memory lapses.

10. I wonder if they'd bother to claim "long term loss of short term memory"
when they can't remember shit.

As KO on Countdown said last night, "Is Gonzo stupid or a liar?"

11. Jail for Contempt of Congress
Send Taylor and Meiers to jail for Contempt of Congress. Dispatch Federal Marshals to the White House and put the entire administration in restraints. Waterboard them all and then ship them off to secret prisons. Draft the Useless Bush Twins and put them on the ground in Iraq. Imprison all Republican and Corporate traitors and war profiteers for life. Apply the Mussolini Solution wherever and whenever it's warranted. Out nation has been stolen from us. It's time to take it back from these murderous criminals. Use whatever force is necessary. Now.

12. No question there's a 'cult of personality" associated with these hiree's.
The key criteria is fealty to the Maximum Leader, not how smart they are. I'll bet there are lots of these types of unquestioning Bushbots roaming around in the WH.

15. I was just reading something today......
saying this phenomenon is a major part of Bushco--hiring young, controllable, but frequently incompetent people.

16. That's it! "Controllable" is it! And if they ever had
decent training under competent leaders, they could turn out okay if they abandon the evil and traitorous neocon principles.
