Most conservatives and may Republicans feel the world is an out of control and dangerous place which some recent studies have confirmed. Which is why the world needs to remain constant and under the rule of law.

When the world is dangerous and out of control, one always has to be vigilent and in control.

Sexual Fetishes are, for the most part, about trangression. And many times they are about acting out psychological scripts that the conscious mind cannot resolve in a healthy way.

Conservatives loathe and fear the "weak" "helpless" and "out of control" parts of themselves. The way many of them deal with that in a structured way (via Dominatrix) is to be totally under the control of another person in the 2nd most vulnerable way imaginable....being naked and sexual. This allows them to release some of the psychological pressure from these feelings of "weakness", etc. so they don't have to deal with them in the first most vulnerable way, directly and emotionally. To deal with them this way is so panic inducing as to feel like death.

The other side of the coin that tells psychologists (and Jungians) that they are dealing with "weak", "helpless", "lacking control" issues is how they deal with real world people who display those traits. They try to repress and ignore them, punish them if you will, they same way they try to repress, ignore and punish the same feelings in themselves.

When you play moral policeman for a living, telling everyone else how to behave, it leaves you few options in your own life.
