I do realize the very nice things said on my behalf -
And I relaize that I am a jerk - I know.

I know I am.

What happens now, to my kid - it is up to god. Maybe it always was.

I think - you know why some people connect with what I say - oh, it is not me - I just said things that they knew to be true - not me at all.

I think a lot of us grew up on that river - or another river - with the same values.

Same mindset.

Joe

5. Nice of you to say.
But I know I am. It is ok.

We all think what we think. I am not politically correct at all. And I will say that.

I think the Germans were scum and we made them pay - Japaneese were and we let them off easy -

60 + years ago. And those bastard NAZIs killed my family!!!! I can''t forget that.

I will not back off - I believe it. And we better let people live as they do - and moral judgements have no place in this society. And we better learn from those that went before us or we are screwed.

It is funny to me - like gay marriage has anything to do - at all - with our society.

People that make that an issue should drawn and quartered. Cause they don't know us at all. AT least they shouldn't be in congress. Makes me sick. We better learn from the history paid in blood.

Joe

2. joe-
I'm somewhat of a newbie here, but I do read your posts when I come across them and I do feel for you.

It's my opinion that you have every right to use this board as you do, if it helps you cope.

I'm thinking of you and hope all turns out well for you.

4. JOE..I RESPECT THE HELL OUT OF YOU!!
Edited on Thu Jul-12-07 01:59 AM by flyarm
I do not know that i could cope if my son was in that hell hole..and the worry i would have day and night

no one has the right to judge anyone with their child in harms way..no one!!

You have though shoes to fill.

and unless someone has walked in your shoes..your shoes..not theirs ..they have no right to judge.

We can be your friend ..we can listen to you..but we can not be you.

we can not know what you know..without putting your child at risk..we can only be good friends and listen ..

it doesn't matter what you say..i always understand you and and i try to understand where you are coming from..but i can never really, as my son is not where your son is.

You have my utmost empathy and respect.

to love someone as much as you do your son..and know they are in direct harms way ..is the toughest thing i believe a parent can have to cope with.
I know you know what is going on..and it looks worse than bleak ..but right now..there just isn't much we can do that we haven't all tried singely and collectively.

we can only keep fighting these sob's in washington, like "our" childs life depended on it..i take all the kids over there's lives as they were mine..i am angry..and i will never stop until each and everyone of those kids is home here where they belong.

I know we have a fucking mad man in this white house..and i know he is a fucking cornered rat right now..and that make he and cheney god damn dangerous.

we can only keep calling and getting in these fucking congress peoples faces ...i promise i will never stop calling and holding them accountable,

for your son and every other parents kids that is over there..

no one deserves the worry you are being put through..no one..

and none of those kids over there deserve to be there..

it is up to all of us to get off our asses and get them home now!!

night dear..i hope you can get a little rest.

8. Oh - I like everybody here- really do.
Nobody walks in anyone elses shoes. I do resent being patronized. But a small nussance in the end.

It is weird - I guess - Maybe I deserve it.

My kid is out of country in 44 days and counting - so he does still have a real chance.

Anyway - I don't think badly about anyone that disagrees with anything I ever said.

I respect it.

Joe

15. Couldn't agree more. We DO INDEED have a frickin' mad man in this
White House. OUR White House.

And we have to get OUR White House BACK, ASAP. For you, and all Americans, and those they love who are virtual hostages over there now.

6. Joe, you don't get to decide if you are a jerk or not
And I have not come to that conclusion yet so you hang in there.

7. Yeah, Joe...you're a LITTLE BIT of a jerk....sometimes.
Edited on Thu Jul-12-07 02:15 AM by dicksteele
I know, because I'm a JERK myself...24/7.

And I think that may be why I just instinctively LIKE you,
even when I have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

Y'know?

Don;t do that - just say I am an asshole.
I am.

I do do know something I cannot I say - three times in my life I did.

And I do now.

But I am a jerk alright.

13. Well, so what? So am I. Could be worse.
Believe me, there are worse things we could be.

LIARS, for one. If I was more of a liar, maybe
I wouldn't be such an asshole.

But I'm not, so I am.
I calls 'em like I sees 'em, and the chips fall where they may.
Y'know?

Just hang in there Joe. The only sentence which is ALWAYS true,
in every time and place, is: "This, too, shall pass".

12. This is a problem to me -
Man I like general Clark - he is a good man. But he is not me anymore. But I don't know how to change my name either.

SO I just leave it.

My chin is as high as it could be - keeping my eye on the front door- you know what I mean??
