Back in Black

My political writing has suffered a bit in recent months. It's amazingly difficult to switch between fiction and reality sometimes. I'd imagine Republican authors who also do political stuff might have less trouble, since it's ALL fiction, more or less.

But I've had my boys here the past couple weeks and, while my fiction has suffered, it appears that my political mind is catching on fire. Guess it helps to have my motivation for giving a crap within reaching distance for a change.

So I've posted a number of things that I think are worth reading. I imagine some people disagree, but, hey, I can live with that.

I've weighed in on the Cindy debacle, more than once. I think her main problem is that she's not herself a professional or semi-professional writer, and she doesn't have the money to hire one. Subtlety is an acquired skill and when one is as generally frustrated and pissed off as she is, she could really use someone else who could spin her floss into gold and take some of the rough edges off.

I've also talked about what's going on with MY family and the war. My wife's nephew is heading there next month. Makes my heart break just thinking about it.

I've also written a little something about Republicans vs. Repugniks that I think is pretty damn good. My timing was a little off and it vanished down the list too fast for most people to see. I highly recommend you check this one out.


Oh, and for those of you who are wondering. I plan to donate and get my star back as soon as I can afford to. My kids being here have been a drain on my finances, above and beyond child support, my tabs have expired on my beater car, and I took a week off work to spend with the boys. So as soon as I have my finances back in order, I'll be getting my star back.

In the meantime, I'll be doing what I do best. Making a damned nuisance of myself.
