CNN - Distorts the Image of Michael Moore on Their Web Video

It's because we do indeed smell a rat. Watch CNN's video of the Moore-Blitzer confrontation today. Yeah, it's regular video stretched to widescreen...but worse, Moore seems to have grown a few days worth of beard growth and acne since this afternoon.

We watched this clip on three different computers, and they all have the same facial problems - which was noticeably absent when we watched earlier. Even stranger - the rest of Moore's features (like his hands) don't have the same treatment, so we're not convinced it's a fluke of the internets.

In many spots, his face takes on really horribly blotchiness (again, just the face, not the hands) then it disappears. Wolf goes completely unblotched, as do the people in the SiCKO clips which accompany Moore in the same shot.

1. 6:9 Picture Shrunk to 4:3

This is what you see when you shrink a wide screen picture to fit a normal TV screen. The interesting thing here..the picture to Moore's right in the top picture is in 6:9 (the format the movie was filmed in)...and looks like Moore's pic was squeezed to fit it in with the movie video.

I don't think CNN's doing this unpurpose. To say Michael Moore is overweight is stating something we already know. IMHO this is just the CNN techies trying to make Wolfie's video wall work.
