Bush: Iraq gets 'Satisfactory' on 8 of 18 goals
What happened to failing marks on every goal?

Did we have a late night "goal revision" to make this pill easier to swallow for us 'mercan people?

1. Since when is 44% success rate "satisfactory?"
Not that I believe for one second that 8 benchmarks were reached. Still in every grading scenario - 44% is failure.

2. Hey look getting 8 out of 18?
That's 44.44%

I mean I don't know what High School you attended but when I was growing up, 44.44% was a . . . wait . . .

8. Declaring "Mission Accomplished" worked for him before
Let's face facts. * will say the surge is succeeding and the benchmarks have been met regardless of what the truth is. The corporate media will report what the misadministration tells them to report. Merkins will buy more support the troops magnets for their Hummers while our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, moms and dads continue to die in Iraq.

The real question is what are we going to do about it? We can bitch, moan, howl, complain until the cows come home, but until the people DEMAND that this war ends (and by that I mean take to the streets in protest) nothing will be done.

13. This is all manipulative crap-- this is the time of Summer in the ME that everyone goes on vacation
Even the terrorists... You can go back and correlate this to the soldiers killed in July/August each year. The WH knew this when setting-up the expectations for the report
