bush has just said that it is not the job of Congress to run this war
He effectively told them they should stay out of it

He also acknowledged that the only thing they have under their control is funding this war


DID YOU HEAR THAT CONGRESS, YOU CONTROL THE FUNDING?

1. That's basically what the rethugs voted for yesterday.
So to me, the next step would be NOT to fund the war; that'd get their attention.

... maybe somebody can explain this to me? I always thought that American Democracy was about civilians running the military thru funding, and those elected are accountable to the people.

Is Bush claiming Military Dictatorship status because of war?

8. For better or worse...
(and lately, it's been worse), my Chain of Command has President Bush at the top, not Congress.

I am in no way, shape, or form obligated to follow an order from a US Senator or Representative.
