Senator Sheldon Whitehouse Rocks!!!!

I dont know if anyone saw the hearing yesterday, Senator Whitehouse ask one of the best
questions of the day.
He asked her if she had signed anything, or any contract that had anything to do with
'Executive Priviledge', when she was first hired as 'Political Director'.
With that question and her answer was NO, she led the way for an obstruction of justice
charge against the President, and or her contempt of Congress.
But we all know that 'Executive Priviledge' is suspect anyway.

This morning he spoke in the Senate Chamber, and it was one of the most eloquent speeches
I have ever heard.
Right to the point, knocking this administrations phony phrases.
I have been watching him alot lately, at hearings, and at a few press conferences, and he is
extremely intelligent.
Mark my words, in 8-12 years he will be running for President and win, a Whitehouse in the
Whitehouse. :hi:

Those are the 'official' commonwealths in the U.S.

I watched the hearing yesterday. But I was distracted and had to take care of something and missed that question. DU was abuzz with how good he was and the trouble they were in for how she answered. In my limited time I never did get the jist of what was up. Now I know and am delighted!

Btw, it doesn't hurt that he has a softer demeanor. I'm reminded of Gregory Peck in Mockingbird. Quiet decency.

And he's got a nice smile, too.

How can a person not find it appealing! Also, his demeanor makes him feel trustworthy. A nice combo.

15. What many posters may not understand about questioning at hearings....
Democrats and Republicans often meet before hearings and 'divide up' the topics they wish to cover with a particular witness. The fact that Whitehouse has been honing in on critical questions is a tribute to not only his ability, but the acknowledgement of his colleagues that he is one of the best at getting to the information needed. I expect great things from him as the investigations roll on.

22. Whitehouse Gets No Press In RI
Sheldon has done a great job thus far, but those of us in RI would only know by watching C-SPAN and researching the websites. The bluest state's only statewide daily (Providence Journal) rarely mentions him (coverage has been awful since buyout by Belo based in Texas). The local TV news shows video of fires and police chases from around the country (and the world), but hardly anything on our US Congressional Delegation. As for the 'local' radio (WPRO & WHJJ)? All right wingnut radio all the time.
