Threats by religious group at CU-Boulder ("Anybody who doesn't Believe should be taken care of")

University of Colorado police are investigating a series of threatening messages and documents e-mailed to and slipped under the door of evolutionary biology labs on the Boulder campus.

The messages included the name of a religious-themed group and addressed the debate between evolution and creationism, CU police Cmdr. Brad Wiesley said. Wiesley would not identify the group named because police are still investigating.

"There were no overt threats to anybody specifically by name," Wiesley said. "It basically said anybody who doesn't believe in our religious belief is wrong and should be taken care of."

The first threat was e-mailed to the labs - part of CU's ecology and evolutionary biology department housed in the Ramaley Biology building - on Friday. Wiesley said Monday that morning staff members found envelopes with the threatening documents slipped under the lab doors.

4. Yeah, that whole "vengeance is mine" saith the Lord is soooo last millennium
It's about time Jesus got some muscular, red-blooded he-men to kick some ass and take some names. That whole "serve one another in love" nonsense has run its course, and now's the time for anonymous notes and non-specific threats. Re-write of that "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" episode is occurring as we speak. In the new version, Jesus breaks away from the crucifiers, retrieves an Uzi he'd stashed for the occasion, and starts handing out a little holy justice, hot lead style.

Jesus: Fuck Yeah!

7. Christ Getting In Shape For Second Coming
The Lamb of God said He made the decision to get in shape late last year when, after two millennia of relative inactivity, He realized that at His age there was "no way" He could return to Earth, judge the souls of the innocent and wicked alike, and reign over the Kingdom of God for 1,000 years without prior conditioning.

"The Second Coming isn't just Me sitting on a great white throne and judging away," Christ said. "I also have to make all of the stars fall and shake all the powers in Heaven. That's why I've been working a lot with the medicine ball."

Christ, however, admitted that centuries of heavenly grace had enabled Him to "really let go."

"I can't lead the armies of Heaven looking like some flabby slob," said Christ, who declined to disclose His "before" weight. "That guy can't be the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The faithful want a Messiah they can truly fear, not someone who's afraid to take off His shirt in public."

6. Great. Just what my beloved alma mater needs...
MORE controversy. I swear there are some insane people in Boulder. I mean, the entire town is crazy, but there are some complete whackos hiding in the woodwork who manage to squirm their way out into the open every so often.
