The argument made by Cannon (R-UT) that Miers was excused from appearing b/c Exec Privilege...
is ridiculous. The duty to appear before Congress pursuant to Congressional subpoena is not obviated by a statement from the President that she should not appear.

And Cannon is ok with Miers blowing off the Congress because Bush said she did not have to appear.

I hope someone has the TIVO going when Cannon makes all these ridiculous comments, so that they can be replayed in political ads against him during his reelection campaign.

2. Isn't he a practicing mormon? do you think that his
locals will even allow such an ad on TeeVee? They close ranks quickly and prevent any attack on air.
