........................................................... ...........................................................

Croon along as we sing to McCain's presidential hopes....

And now, the end is near,
And so i face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.

I've lived a life that's full.
I've traveled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what i had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When i bit off more than i could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and i stood tall;
And did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
"no, oh no not me,
I did it my way".

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

1. Before you write off John boy, remember there has not been any primaries yet
They faked it once, what is stopping them from repeating?

9. If he is the corporate cabals choice then it will come from somewhere
I am not saying he is the chosen one but knowing how mysteriously things happen with these people, nothing would surprise me.
Until he says he will no longer seek the nomination, I will not count him out.

4. Is this the Sid Vicious version?
Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols did a well-known version of the song, which charted at #6 in the UK in 1979 in which he changed a large body of the words and the arrangement was sped up.

An edited version of the Sid Vicious cover is played during the closing credits of the movie Goodfellas.

6. The Party's Over
The party's over
It's time to call it a day
They've burst your pretty balloon
And taken the moon away
It's time to wind up the masquerade
Just make your mind up the piper must be paid

The party's over
The candles flicker and dim
You danced and dreamed through the night
It seemed to be right just being with him
Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the party's over
It's all over, my friend

The party's over
It's time to call it a day
They've burst your pretty balloon and taken the moon away'
Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the party's over
It's all over, my friend

It's all over, my friend
