George W. Bush strangles Nancy Pelosi with bare hands, Dems still say no to impeachment! |
|
OK--- I admit, I went to an early happy hour and I've had a few glasses of wine''''---so if this sounds like a small incoherent rant---I apologize. As any of you old-time and even new DUers know about me--- I'm a major partisan Democrat.
Lately though, I find myself shaking my head at the Dems who find it necessary to announce that impeachment is off the table. I simply don't get this. The dude is at 26 percent. 26 percent and falling. He is literally thumbing his nose at congress and daring them to come after him. Oh I know that some are looking at contempt charges for his cronies....... and there are some Dems who tell it like it is.... BUT that's just a handful. If there was anytime to strike I would think now is the time... instead, we get quotes from major Dems who say shit like this: "America needs to move forward again, and I don't believe that continuing this era of bitter partisanship is the best course of action."
Now I don't mean to pick on just one candidate er Obama, for saying that---because honestly, he's not the only one saying it..... BUT GOD DAMN, move past "bitter partisanship"...... he can't be serious?
How many times do you need to be kicked in the nuts before you finally say, enough? Apparently with the leadership of my party the answer is ----- NEVER!
So what to do? Write letters? I have.
Call their offices?--- I have---
Support candidates who talk a good game and then change once they're elected???---- I have.
Become a Green member? Uh---no thanks.
Move to a different country? Now that's a thought.

4. To which Harry Reid responded: |
|
"I was disappointed in the President's unwillingness to engage in open face-to-face dialog with our House Speaker. It was bad judgment and poor leadership on his part to strangle her to death and we do not support him in this action. We may hold some hearings about it and might even introduce a non-binding resolution preventing the President from engaging in further strangulation murders of Democratic leadership."
