Question: Was the Bush presser today scripted? |
That is were the question handed in ahead of time so W had time to work up a response? We were at my daughters for a short visit and watched most of it. It was his first presser I have seen in probably 4 years. Curious what the opinion was on this. My wife thought he knew the questions and that is why he made a HUGE point when Gregory asked a followup.

5. I thought so, too! He "just spoke with" the guy Gregory quoted... |
and proceeded to explain why Gregory's quote from the guy was "nuanced" and didn't REALLY mean what it sounded like. WTF???

6. As much as possible, of course. |
Now, if it were really scripted, * would manage to put complete sentences together, consistently. He can read a script. It's because he's such a fuck-up when allowed to improvise that his handlers keep him on as short a leash as they can.
I presume that some of it really is scripted, in an effort to run out the clock so that * has to ad-lib as little as possible.
