Question--I'm not trying to start a movement, here-- |
|
When I have to edit a post, due to lisping fingers or rectal/cranial inversion, there appears, of course, the little edited flag at the top of the message box.
This bothers me, slightly, as it breaks up the scanning. It could be relocated quite easily, I'm told, to the bottom of the box, so that it would be out of the reading area.
Does this bother anyone else? Perhaps I'm just too sensitive or my eyes are getting lazy. I'd welcome your thoughts...

4. OMG it's like sporting the scarlet letters |

of inferior typing.
THE HORROR !!! THE SHAME !!! THE HORROR !!! THE SHAME !!!
May all who express themselves beneath that scarlet screed be shunned by the entire community and quarantined eternally in the gungeon.
A pox on their households.

In truth, I'd reckon that more of my posts require editing than those that don't. I'd be lost without that option. When I post at Huff Post I do several drafts as they have no editing function. Thank goodness we have the option here.

it's one of the many things that makes DU an enjoyable place. The point was the location of the "edit" flag. It appears at the top so you have to go through or past it, instead of appearing at the bottom, out of the way.
It just bugs me in a minor sort of way in an otherwise remarkably good system.
