President Bush: My Constituents are the Enemy

The liberal blog Political Fretwork noticed something funny about President Bush's press conference yesterday that has escaped the attention of the media: The president called the insurgents in Iraq his constituents.

... there's a lot of constituencies in this fight -- clearly the American people, who are paying for this, is the major constituency. ...

A second constituency is the military. ...

A third constituency that matters to me a lot is military families. ...

Another constituency group that is important for me to talk to is the Iraqis. ...

And, finally, another constituency is the enemy, who are wondering whether or not America has got the resolve and the determination to stay after them.

The term "constituents" refers to the people served by a politician -- the voters who put Bush in office and keep him there. Although this is clearly an example of the president's seven-year assault on the English language, Fretwork points out that the insurgents in Iraq must be happy with the constituent services they've received under this president.

When you put yourself in the shoes of Cheney and the people who call all shots -
And when you think of all the times that rumors and facts have been written about complicity between the U.S./Britian and operatives who have blown up things in a timely way - by design -
And you combine that with what Jr's briefing sessions must be like -

There is a good possibility that he is briefed on the goals, objectives, plans, strategies, but can't get it straight about when/what to share and when/what not to. Is he a dunce in a 'slip-up' way?

Crusade - what they could have been calling the invasion and plan behind the plan.
Dictator - what they told him about his role and their plans for WH rule over Congress - combined with changing the laws to suit their political-corporate agenda.

Constituent insurgents - could have been his way of referring to the MIA/CIA operatives who help the U.S. with set-ups.

I've noticed many of these slips - I'm going to start writing them down. Maybe someone has.

I believe he may be the most brain bombarded person in the free world. The pretense is too much for his ego centered mind and his own conniving drive for revenge (which must build up and fester for quite swhile after the suspicion and before the proof). They have to figure out how to bring him in so that he can face the people, get him to go along with and understand the strategies and tactics, and what they want him to say it and how. Then he goofs in interesting ways. No?
