Hey, Iraqi MP's, how 'bout cancelling your one month vacation...
maybe take a long weekend once and awhile. I mean, with your occupied country in chaos, you don't want people to think that you don't give a shit about the future of your homeland. You have to understand, many of us here think you are useless puppets of the Bush Administration and we all know how much time our Commander in Chief spends on vacation. You maybe could set a good example for him in time of war. And, oh, in spite of what you may think, most of the people whose taxes are going to support you have never had a month off in their lives.

Just thought you'd like to know.

2. Interesting idea. Like they might be doing something productive
with their summer vacation. I'm pretty certain these people are not planning to sun bathe in Bagdad.

3. Each one of these MPs has the Sword of Damocles hanging over them.

I cannot fault them for wanting to get away for awhile.

4. Wow! I guess I don't understand your thinking on this.
It's not just the MP's who are in imminent danger, it's all the Iraqi people, most of whom don't have decent sanitary facilities or electricity and many of whom can't work. I guess if I was facing that I'd think twice about taking a vacation.

11. The MPs are specifically targeted. The civilians are randomly targeted.
It's a mess,all right.

5. the problem with Iraq is they don't want to give bush* and his cronies
their oil and I don't blame them. once they sign an agreement with bushco* giving them a large percent of their oil, however much the * cabal can strong arm them out of, then the boy king will start pulling troops out, watch and see if I am proven wrong, I hope I am but something tells me I aren't though

8. Yes, I've been watching the oil deal too but I don't understand
why they can't say yes on oil revenue sharing and no to allowing "foreign" corps to control it.

9. I think the reason is exxon/mobile etc wants the bigger half
they can work around their three dominant sects no problem they just don't want to share any of it with the invaders and I don't blame them for that, if in their shoes I would be just like them. their not liking the idea of our permanent presence there either best I can figger out.

6. I agree with your overall sentiment, but...
Michael Ware answered a question from Anderson Cooper yesterday on this very subject. Ware stated that, present or not, it makes no difference: the Iraqi parliament is essentially useless because there is no desire to develop or pursue a common goal. This according to Ware whose analysis and reports I have great respect for.

Still...if our guys can't come home or go on vacation, why should the Iraqi parliament do so?

10. and I can see as to why when we are in all our glory telling how they're going to do it
it don't matter what it is we, bushco* has their hands in it. The Iraqi can deal with each other and they can see how each of them will be able to survive, we just need to get out of the mix, leave them alone.
