It make more sense for Cindy to Run for President as a Dem

If she want to move the debate forward on Iraq and Impeachment, then aren't her agendas most pointedly effective if she get the biggest podium available? That is the Democratic Presidential Debates?

Running against Pelosi is a much smaller podium and even if a miracle happens and she beats Nancy whe would still be a freshman Representative and she would not be given the time of day until she was in the House for 4 years.

If she wants to make a statement and move the debate. Declare herself a democratic candidate for president.

1. It makes more sense to demand impeachment/end of the war.
That's what the whole thing is about.

And I wish the people who whined and moaned about Cindy Sheehan spent half of that energy on doing what's right.

3. It makes more sense to put this post in one of the hundreds of current threads on Cindy
I see its a new hour so of course there should be a brand new duplicate thread encouraging the bashing of Cindy.

8. Yes. We know. Over and over again. Hundreds of threads relect it
and here is another thread which will quickly fill up with hatred posts.

4. No. She would be completely overlooked.
By running against Pelosi, she exposes the Democratic elements who led us into Iraq and sat quiet for years until they finally saw the exploitation of the deaths of thousands of Americans as a good election ploy.

6. And she will be overlooked there on a much smaller scale.
She is not going to win either race. So she ought to grab the biggest megaphone possible.

7. Too late. Take a look around.
She's already been extremely effective. But keep telling yourself otherwise. That always seems to work.

9. The key to winning a race against an incumbent
is organization, money, personality, issues... In that order. Cindy has one of those

San Franciscans would be stupid stupid stupid, if they voted out a sitting Speaker of the House on impeachment and replaced her with a freshman Representatives with no political clout in the Halls of Congress at all... SHe would be more marginalized in the Democratic Caucus than Kucinich.

10. What would be stupid about that? As Speaker, Pelosi has decided to completely
abandon the wishes of her constituents, giving them the finger and going far out of her way to shield the most dangerous criminals our country has ever faced. Why would they vote for her? Why would they allow her to show her face in their district?

24. Neither one of these articles is recent or answerer the simple question
Do you have polling suggesting that in her district an overwhelming percentage want the President impeached?

Pelosi obviously has more than one constituency in mind..... she has a fractured caucus with only a few people openly supporting the impeachment effort.

Pelosi understands that it is a no win situation...Our gains in the last election wewe in moderat districts and by small but critical margins. SHe backs impeachment and those seats are put back ion play.

She would rather piss off the base than lose the House.

22. It would be awful to have to give up all that seniority and power.
On the other hand, if that seniority and power isn't being used to represent us, what are we losing, exactly?

San Francisco is organized to end the war and for impeachment. We have plenty of money and we know the issues. Score, Cindy. :)

12. Interesting idea. When she posted how much she raised people might start to really listen
It could potentially effect the nomination if she got enough support in terms of fundraising.

13. Just flush money down the toilet
How wonderful so many people have so much money they can just throw to the wind. Maybe the money would be better spent in New Orleans.

Cindy has the national stage. All she has to do is stick to the subject - what noble cause.

17. What would make sense for Cindy
Would be to go home and get a grip on reality.

Pandering to her insatiable thirst for publicity is like buying drinks for an alcoholic.
