John McCain's presidential bid Bob Allen allegedly told a police officer moments before his arrest in a Florida park for soliciting sex. Allen, a Republican first elected to the House in 2000, was referring to a possible location for a sexual encounter that would be away from the men's room in the park.

From the cited article. It is unclear what these officers were doing in the park to begin with, but it is clear that they decided to target Allen when they determined he was cruising the bathroom. As much as I hate every one of these fascist republican creeps, the sad life of closeted gay men, and their vulnerability to this sort of idiocy, is not something I take pleasure in.

I observed a white male driving a silver 4 door Toyota pull into the driveway, which is a roundabout, twice within a matter of moments. Indeed. It is not something any of us should take pleasure in. The police apparatus is still set up to "cleanse" gay spaces, even when those very spaces (rest stops, public restrooms, park areas, etc.) are the structural result of the oppression of homosexuals in our society.
