Abbott and Costello Update: Who’s Iraq and What Do Al Qaeda?

Is this your rack? My rack? No, Iraq. But why do I care? No, you Al Qaeda. Okay, are we clear?

Sorry for the gibberish but the nonsense flowing from Washington this week reached epic proportions of silliness. It was Monty Pythonesque on bad drugs.

We are told that Al Qaeda is restored to the strength it had in the days prior to 9-11 and is ready to strike in the United States. Al Qaeda is on its way, no wait! Al Qaeda is apparently already here. But wait a minute! Homeland Security Chief Chertoff cannot make up his mind. He admits there is no credible intelligence to support this belief, except he feels it in his gut.

I guess it is time to do an update of the Troggs’ classic, Love is All Around.
