If I donate $5 to Susie for President could I get her off my screen?

I know this is going to sound terrible because I really like what she is doing but every time I see the little Susie for President ad I think, "You are not Old Enough."

Then select "Preferences" and then look for "Display Google ads?" -- click on "NO!" and Suzie will go away.

For super control you can also use the Firefox browser - and enable "Ad-Block Plus"...

I am always startled when I look at DU on a computer on which I am not logged on -- I forget how many ads there are because I don't see them.

I did install Ad-Block Plus but it's not blocking the susie.

10. My last tips...

If you have AdBlock Plus installed & have hit refresh & tried quitting Firefox and starting up again to make sure it is fully operational, and you still see Suzie, then...

On the Firefox toolbar, go to "Tools" and select "AdBlock Plus" - My advertisement filters include "*google*" and "EasyList USA". There is a button at the bottom left of the AdBlock Plus preference screen that says "Add filter" -- EasyList is

If you haven't done it yet - use the DU function under "options" to turn off Google Ads - just in case that helps.

I am no computer expert, the ads are just such visual distractions that I am motivated to do what must be done to cut most of them out of my browsing experience.
