Oh Oh: latest missing mom was involved
in escort service - on MSNBC. Shuster throws in a question about the recently released phone records. Note - there is no evidence suggesting she was linked to the Palfrey escort service.

2. Why doesn't anyone do a show on why women end up
in the escort business. Perhaps because women are STILL behind men economically
and the sex industry is one of the few where they can make big bucks.

Also, how many men end up single parents before they have acquired any marketable job skills, compare that to the
number of women in that position.

Sigh.

3. AMEN NC Nurse...men are not bombarded
Edited on Sat Jul-14-07 09:24 AM by ikojo
with media messages that try to make them feel guilty for daring to WORK outside the home. We never hear about dads and the "daddy track." Never are men asked how do they balance work and home life. Why is that? Could it be that the MAJORITY of childcare is still done by WOMEN? Women who work outside the home are still expected to keep an immaculate house and raise the kids. Dad comes home and yeah he may do yard work but that is not a daily thing. It is not seen as abrogating responsibility if he comes home, grabs a beer and puts his feet up. You see HIS work day was hard..whereas his wife merely begins her second job when she gets home.

I've worked places where if a woman is going out on a rare night out with HER friends and the DAD is watching the kids, she will say "my husband is babysitting." Oh no, the teenager down the street BABYSITS, a dad is doing what he should be doing, caring for HIS kids. I don't hear men say "my wife is babysitting the kids while I..."

4. That could be a reason.
That could also explain why the republiclowns are so committed to creating a world where that machine keeps on going and getting stronger.

7. What I find interesting about this is=====
when you have a prostitute service why are the men held as responsible and jailed they way they do the women. If they would round up the guys as they come out of these places or find out if the woman had visited them and lock their ass up then they might stop going.

I think if the made it legal, charged taxes and the state and federal government got their cut, everything would be honky donky. And I don't think that there is any thing wrong with that.

12. Bingo!!
And I get told I'm a prude on this board for mentioning this fact.

This is why I still think prostitution should be illegal. Not because of the sex, but because of the industry - which would still exploit women (and children) even it were legal.
