Bin Laden's been popping up for his own purposes, not Bush's, for the past six years. At this point all he does is verify the thing that 71% of Americans know now anyway: Bush let the worst terrorist in American history get away. This won't help Bush one iota and, frankly, I don't think they could manage to release this sort of tape anyway.

There's two opposing views of the Bushies: omnicient evil geniuses and self deluded fuck ups with marginal marketing skills.
I think history is validating the latter viewpoint.

Bin Laden pops up regularly every 6-10 months. It's a regular habit with him. But Bush is just about constantly getting some kind of shit revealed about his administration's ineptness or corruption, so why hasn't there been a video from bin Laden once in all the last six months of nonstop back news for Bush? His approval numbers have been in a steady decline for over six months--but only now the video comes out. Again, there's no real correlation.

Your belief in an omnicient, omnipotent Bush-Cheney-Rove manipulation machine is not supported by history. They've needed plenty of OBL bail outs over the past six years and don't get them most of the time. The fact that he's a bad person doesn't automatically make him the puppet of Karl Rove (nor vice versa).

we work in clubs around the world...one thing we have always been taught by the various doormen who run these clubs is, that the people who shout very loudly about what they are going to do tend to never do it, its the ones that walk away after an altercation and say nothing that you need to watch.

How does this apply to Osama Bin Liner, think about it, no video was released pre - 911 telling the Western World that "Al Quaeda are working with the Bush administration to attempt to blow up the world trade centre...As part of this plan, building 7 will also fall down scaring the crap out of the American public, because they will realise that our superhuman powers can make a building fall down even though no major structural damage was ever done to it"....

Coming on the back of Prick Sanitarytowel`s recent alarmist prophecy that America would experience some "unfortunate (i.e terrorist) incident in the coming months" (I hope the FBI and CIA are questioning him as we speak), this video makes perfect sense to reinforce the booga booga.
