My Letter FROM Al Gore

last week i sent him a card with a note and a print out of something asking him to run. today i got a letter from him.

Dear Orleans:

Thank you so much for your letter encouraging me to seek the presidency in 2008. I appreciate your kind words and I am very grateful for your continued support.

While I do not have any plans to be a candidate again, I intend to remain very active in fighting for the causes we believe in and working to ensure that the Democratic Party becomes a more effective voice for the values that you and I hold dear. I hope that you will join me in continuing to promote the vision we share for our country.

One way you can do that is to engage with me in a campaign of a different sort--to educate the American people about the climate crisis facing our nation and indeed, the world. I hope you will learn everything you can about the crisis--watch "An Inconvenient Truth" or read the book--and then turn that knowledge into action. You can further our efforts by signing up on www.algore.com, and together we can rise to meet this global challenge. We need you!
