Cindy Sheehan is coming up within the hour on CNN. |
|
I'm not going to comment on her appearance in this thread, but wanted to give those of you who wish to, a heads up.

5. I am not sure about her. |
|
I wish somehow we could find out how she talked of the military and her childs service BEFORE he died. If she was a "proud military mom" who flipped once something bad happened...I think she is worthless. I mean she flipped on Pelosi...It may be a pattern...I love ya until things get ugly...I am not being disrespectful, I would just love to know her stances on the military before it went badly. I mean was she anti-war before her child died? Was she a proud mom who was happy to see her child get military benifits such as schooling and other things? Did she tell him repeatedly not to join or did she support his decision heartily?
If she was ever a "proud military mom" who encouraged or did not tell her kid he should not sign up...then what use is she? I feel very sad for her loss and understand the pain of losing someone...but I would like to know exacytly when she was anti-war. Id like to know if she flipped on the military as quickly as she did on Pelosi. I do not know these facts and cannot support her or her activism until I had those answers. I do not want these answers from some after the fact polished website either...Id like to hear what she actually said to others before her kid died...Did she proudly talk of his service and wave the flag? Did she talk with the recruiters? Did she tell her kid to take advantage of militay money for education? If so,,,then going major anti-0war after the fact is a bit too late in my eyes.

11. He's here to correct us all and put us in our places |
|
Atheists can no longer speak here, according to him.
Cindy couldn't have changed her mind or had an epiphany...noperoo.
...'cause he's The Knower and The Decider and He is here to point out our massive hypocrisies and put us all in our places and....
...snerk...and I really really care what he thinks. Oh wait. I don't.

14. There are thousands of moms who ARE speaking out before their kids die |
|
You just never hear about them.
The fact that Casey died makes her newsworthy.

6. I'm busy enslaving black people, don't have the time to watch... |
|
In between that, I'll be busy trying to figure out how my party "started" every war of the 20th century.

10. I support Cindy and will, even quietly. But, I have to honestly say |
|
the two first people who criticized the Decider after 9/11 were 2 CA Congresswomen. I remember because I was so PROUD of them for speaking up and for setting aside the Kool Aide. :)

19. I should have clarified...After we Invaded Iraq...during that "hyper patriotic time" when |
|
most Americans (except us demonstrating with no media coverage). Cindy went on the side of the road in Texas and made a camp that got some attention waylaying those asses as they drove by in their limos.
...sorry I wasn't clearer. :-)'s

25. The first, no. One of the first to have an effect, yes. |
|
But if she wants support from people, she needs to not insult them.
She's created some enemies out of people who used to support her.

She now wants and end to the war AND impeachment -- I'm with her on those two items.
I don't know if the DLC Dems are???

12. Now look what her threat to challenge Pelosi has done |
|
it's gone and got her some CNN air time. Where she can speak against the war and have millions of people hear her.
Her need for attention really gets in the way of her message

20. How does one get one's message out without getting attention, though? |
|
And, sadly the only way to get attention is to question the powerful that the corporations are afraid of...i.e. Democratic challengers to the system. So, Cindy says she's no longer a Democrat since she feels they aren't listening and the Corporate Media Whores finally pay attention to her.
Some of us feel many of our Dems need to have a kick in the butt... Even Bill Moyers ...because he devoted a whole hour to Impeachment..

24. Don't wait for Cindy, get out on your own streets, in your own towns. |
|
You and just about everyone else was here long before Cindy was. What are you really waiting for? Cindy to tell you what to do?
Well okay then, me, I'm not waiting to hear from Cindy.
