You know the one: we're there to help them, we've given them the gift of democracy, but the filthy sand apes just don't appreciate it or know what to do with it.
Hillary was rightly booed for using it recently.
Republicans use this as an excuse to stay, and Democrats use it as an excuse to go (just not very far away--close enough to keep a thumb on the oil).
Of course, it does reflect a real frustration in DC that Iraqis can't be good puppets who do what their told, to fool us into approving of leaving troops there until the last drop of oil is sucked out of the sand.
Besides the obvious racism and "blame the victim" angle, the reason this "blame the Iraqis" crap bothers me so much is that it is evidence the Democrats are lying to us. They don't want to talk about the real underlying issues, so they just tell us nicer lies than the GOP.
We don't have a real democracy if the real debate goes on behind closed doors, and the only choice we have is between a Grimm's fairy tale about the terrorist boogey man and Mr. Rogers singing "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood."
To any campaign or congressional staffers who read this, could you tell your candidates to knock this shit off? It makes me and most decent people sick.
Every candidate who uses this talking point should be shamed, booed, and pelted with rotting fish until they stop.
