5. it's a Novak love Fest |

made me ill, had to turn it off. Tim Russert is a pathetic shill, running a 30 minute infomercial for Novak's book.

Why Robert Novak is running loose and is not in prison for the Valerie Plame outing. Please, someone explain that to me.

8. He didn't break a law in reporting that Plame was CIA |
|
The inquiry that the CIA asked the FBI to conduct was to find out who within the administration may have illegally leaked that information to the press. It would be illegal if the person knew she was a covert CIA agent and that it was illegal to give out that information.
No one was charged with that, including Armitage, who was Novak's source. Apparently Fitzgerald did not believe Armitage could be convicted.
Novak is not guilty of a crime, just guilty of being a first class a**hole. Why anyone would read-let alone buy -his book is beyond me.

Which leads me to my second question, why did Bush pardon a person that committed treason, and why isn't this whole thing being treated as treason to begin with? Is there one set of rules that apply to the Democrats, and a much looser one for the Republicans?

10. I don't know the answer to that. |
|
The right wing is portraying the Libby conviction as some sort of "political" farce, even though the federal prosecutor and the federal judge are Bush-appointed Republicans.
I think what you are getting at is that the populace is not paying attention; otherwise, they (we) would be up in arms. I agree.
I participated in at least 4 peaceful marches before Bush invaded Iraq. I'm in Seattle. Where are the marches now? When we have so much more to protest?
I am very upset by the lack of movement. But I am as much to blame as anyone, I guess. Can I be a protest of one?
