was talking to a freind of a little while ago... ROFL |

they called to tell us of their recent 'adventure'
earlier this past week they had gone for a walk in the woods near their house along an old logging trail.
as they were heading back home a rather bedraggled looking dog suddenly appeared, it came up to them and wagged it's tail. It was skinny, looked like it had been roaming around the woods for quite awhile. No collar, no tags.
they had brought along some water for themselves, so they gave the dog some, petted the dog, discussed what to do about the dog. They didn't recognize it as any that lived in their neighborhood. It's a mixed breed they think golden retreiver and something else mix. It's a female.
the original plan was to go back to the house, find something to use as a leash and go back to get the dog - they didn't need to - the dog followed them home.
They gave the dog some water, borrowed some food from a neighbor. Coincidently the neighbor had worked as a vet tech at one time - after the dog had eaten, the neighbor checked out the dog, and found large nasty sores hidden beneath all the mats.
by now, they pretty much had decided to keep the dog and knew the dog needed some medical attention, as well as a good bath and grooming. the only place they could find who would check out the dog that day was at a pet emergency clinic.
so they brought the dog there. They had to fill out some intake paper work upon arrival, they left the PETS NAME space blank because they hadn't named the dog. The receptionist was quite insistent that they put something in that blank line. They explained they had literally just found the dog a couple of hours ago, and were more concerned with getting medical attention for the dog than trying to name the dog. Nonetheless, the receptionist was quite adament that they needed to put something in the blank space.
So they named the Qeada because it followed them home...
p.s. Qeada is doing fine, has some cream to put on the sores, and stuff for earmites, other than the sores and being underweight Qeada is in good shape. Neighbor helped them give her a bath and grooming the next day.

I am allergic to cats too. He is all white with powder blue eyes and after a few years with watery eyes, an inching all over and a few sneezes I am almost free of cat allergies. Of course most of the time he lives outside. He comes in when it rains or is cold. He even has befriended my Black Lab which is amazing. They sit together when outside and the Lab (Buddy) loves licking the cat (Snowy)in the face. Bringing in a strays rocks.

He may bark or howl occasionally to send a message.

17. If pushed, the American intelligence veteran, Richard A Clark, would probably suggest |
|
he could be found in a mountain fastness - from which, as one of the Dogs of War that slipped the leash, Osama would probably be barking to the effect that Bush should continue to have American troops occupy Iraq. Remember that passage in his book?
