U.S. Sen. David Vitter has cancelled the “town hall” meeting he had earlier scheduled for Monday in Greensburg, his office announced today” and that Vitter “is returning to Washington, D.C., for votes in the U.S. Senate.” snip

Vitter has been embroiled in controversy this past week ever since a story broke that his phone number was listed in the records of the Washington DC Madam who allegedly ran a prostitution ring.

Based upon news reports from the Times Picayune, the New Orleans Canal Street Brothel Madam has claimed that he was a client at the brothel and in another Times Picayune article, a woman going by the name of Wendy Cortez who worked at the Brothel said that the Senator was one of her clients. snip

The news release did not state when he would actually be returning to Washington.
