On S-Span 3 now, a debate with Lieberman and Cheney. Why was this our choice
in 2000. Lieberman or Cheney? Why did Gore ever say yes to Lieberman? Someone please tell me WTF happened?

so the neo-cons would have a plant on either side.

The open public assessment has consistently been that Lieberman was against Bill Clinton's whole sex thing, conventional wisdom is that Gore had to distance himself, so he picked Lieberman.

That sounds like a decision made by political consultants, not Al Gore.
