If it were true that Homo sapiens are born the scourge of the Earth(as salvationist religions would have us believe), then the destruction of Earth would have begun with the appearance of Homo sapiens about 200,000 years ago, and would be found wherever Homo sapiens are found. But it didn't, and it isn't. It began with the appearance of our particular experiment in civilization about 10,000 years ago.

its numbers until it has arrived at unsustainable human population levels for the available resources of the planet Earth. Since Homo sapien arrived on the scene between 130,000-150,000 years ago, their has been a gradual decline in the available resources as the population continues to grow. Homo sapien's current 6 billion population soon to be 9 billion population can not be sustained by a 2 billion MAXIMUM CAPACITY planet and resources. After 1925 Homo sapien began an accelerated decline toward extinction.
