Poll question: Generally do you trust what our government tells you any more?
And when I say government I mean our entire government which is made up of Dems and Repugs with a few exceptions.

3. No, and it's depressing. Katrina was my tipping point . . .
Everybody has their own, but it was at that time that I realized we are on our own!

7. As an entire government or as individuals?
I certainly don't trust Bush or Cheney or Hastert or Lieberman. But I'm on record as putting a certain amount of confidence in Pelosi, Fiengold, Reid, and others.

11. I never believed what they said completely
I figured they were spinning and selectively reporting. Until Joseph Wilson spoke up, I had no idea they were outright lying.

They might be saying something true from time to time, but it's impossible to separate the truths from the fantasy and spin and the lies.

Nor, do I believe that any citizen should believe and/or trust their government.

15. Absolutely not.
Not even the most well-meaning of government officials anymore is free from Chumpco's control of their information output. And of course, way too many of our government officials are NOT well-meaning in the least.

16. Generally, no.
I accept that there are some excellent sources of information out there from the government, like the Bureau of Labor Statistics and so forth. But generally, as it is told to us by the elected government spokesmodels, no way. And even the most likable, decent-seeming Progressive types feel obliged to either sugar-coat or withhold information.

So, no.

21. No...But Then, I Never Did.
I'm a skeptic from a long line of skeptics. My grandmother used to say "It doesn't matter which crook gets in." I wouldn't go THAT far, but I do believe that ALL politicians, by definition, are liars.
