1. Totally Accurate, Except for the Apology Part
I don't remember anybody in the media apologizing for printing nothing more than government propaganda.

3. NYT essentially did - they promised to do better in the future, too....
... Glenn Greenwald, as usual, has been excellent on the 4->5 transition.

4. Yup. Not even from Nixon, whom everyone likes now for no reason I can figure out
Not only don't they apologize, but they are still repeated the old discredited lies (insurgents in Iraq did 9.11 etc)
