What puzzles me about these assholes/traitors in the bush* maladministration |
|
is are they so dumb as to think they are doing the right thing or are they in it for other reasons? What could be worth all of ones sense of self worth/pride anyway? By now it should be obvious to anyone with a half of a brain that this house of cards that dick built is crumbling down around them. I to wonder if when the shit really hits the fan if maybe there won't be many of them taking their own lives, that they have painted themselves into corners they can't get out of so to say.

little minds how what they feel like doing, what will benefit them and their cronies, really is the right thing to do. But then of course the question is, If they're so convinced it's the right thing, why are they so determined to hide it?

2. I think its all filtered through their own personal risk assessment/benefit formula |
|
I don't think anything remotely resembling a conscience is involved, its all coming from blatant self-interest.
In the beginning, they were promised absolute power as long as they did certain things, and frankly, it looked as though that was working just fine. As long as they didn't have any qualms, the republican fascist organization was taking care of them.
Now, as the structure itself is showing signs of breakdown, they are carefully calculating when or if they have to jump from the machine and save their own phony baloney asses. But either way, it was always about their own self-interests.

3. I wind up at the same place when I try to use logic in figuring them out too |
|
The only thing I can think of is they must think that they will never be out of power to have to be answering for any of the crimes they are committing, some so willingly too. And if that is the case we have a problem here that needs to be addressed and soon.

might be right, there is way too much secrecy, obstructing and hiding things for there to be any real belief that they are doing right.

5. I've come to believe that it's pretty simple. They float all these |
|
high falootin' reasons for what they do but, every time, it's to line the pockets of their cronies who then return the favor.
They don't care about being painted into corners. They don't care how many people die. They care about cash flow to their criminal cabal.
9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, Katrina. All they care about is milking another potential cash cow.

6. Not at all, Dick and George will be living it up for the rest of their lives |
|
in riches and luxuries we could only dream about here on DU. They will get away with the biggest criminal enterprise in the history of the US.
No one is going to stop them. Let us be realistic about it. No one has the guts.

10. I hope you're wrong on that, but you may not be |
|
seems the sheeple are waking up and not liking what they're seeing. and yes we the people will have to be the ones that make anything happen and I think more and more with each passing day that we will. These things always take a long time in getting started but once the ball is rolling it starts picking up speed pretty fast. I remember watergate when a month before the resignation the trickster looked like he would continue tricking on and on. so I hold out hope yet.

12. It is just I am going on previous crimes with this group. |
|
Crimes that still remain unpunished. Oh sure, SOMEONE will get thrown under the bus to save the bosses - sure we all know that. What I want is to see THE bosses get thrown in prison and that just doesn't happen to rich and powerful people like the Bush family or Dick Cheney.
I hope I'm wrong too, history says I'm right and that sucks.

17. Greed is only part of it. I believe these guys truly believe that a strong |
|
America that dominates the world and protects its interests is desired by God and benefits the world in general. At all costs, America must thrive and have dominion. AT ALL COSTS. And they also believe a strong America flows from incredible corporate wealth, concentration of wealth and power, and republican decision makers. This is their vision..a kind of fundamentalism in which the ends most certainly justify the means.
The masses are there to be manipulated into voting a certain way, pay taxes, and consume. That's it.
