send the Reslugs some Depends? We know *certain* GOPers kinda like that sort of thing...

Thanks for the correction on the day. I thought they said it would be into Tuesday. I interpreted that as being tonight into tomorrow. I have corrected accordingly.

1. I'm OK with supervised (by Dem leadership)
potty breaks so they don't take too long. One at a time. No funny business in there.

only the lonely pug at the microphone and the leader (or a stand-in)
Strom Thurmond set the record in 1957, filibustering against a civil rights bill (you know, the one Tom Delay was lamenting when he referred to "all these problems")

http://www.funtrivia.com/askft/Question71801.html

It is unclear what they do regarding potty breaks. It does say Barry Goldwater took the mike briefly, and that he did duck out twice without hte leadership (who were probably asleep) noticing.

further info from (ugh) faux news website:

Thurmond also had visited the Senate steam room to get liquids out of his body so that if he drank during the filibuster, he would not have to go to the bathroom.

12. Strom Thurmond used some kind of hose when he refused to yield
the floor when filibustering against the Civil Rights Act.
