DENVER -- An armed man was shot and killed inside Colorado Governor Bill Ritter's office Monday afternoon, the Governor's office confirmed.

Scanner traffic indicated that multiple law enforcement units were responding.

7. a tale of the colorado governor's office
Many years ago, I worked for the janitorial service that cleaned the capitol building. My job was doing maintenance on the cleaning equipment, but sometimes--if someone was sick--I would have to actually go out to the job site and clean.

I was vacuuming the gov's office, and all of a sudden, the doors burst open and several armed agents swarmed in and surrounded me.

After a few minutes they figured out that I had while moving the chair to vacuum under the desk, accidentally hit the security panic button.
