"Precipitous Withdrawal" SQUAWK! "Precipitous Withdrawal" SQUAWK! |
|
Former Republican Governor James Gilmore (VA) was just on Tweety's show using all the standard talking points. It occurred to me...why "precipitous" withdrawal? Is it because they know 85% of Americans (I'm being generous) wouldn't know what the hell "precipitous" meant if their lives depended on it? Notice they don't say "Immediate" or "sudden," "complete" withdrawal. Nope. It's over and over again..."Americans don't want a precipitous withdrawal which would just invite carnage blah blah blah..."
No, of course they don't. And I've yet to find too many Americans outside the fringiest of the fringe who are calling for a "precipitous" withdrawal. But there it is. The Official Talking Point spewing forth from EVERY GOP mouth.

1. Patented talking point to make the Dems look chicken and irresponsible. |
|
Frank Luntz or Karl Rove probably came up with it.
