Blackmail: My one and only Vitter thread
Enough is enough. Vitter, Almond, and the blow-job guy from Fla(sorry forgot his name already) are not just "cheating on their wives". They are using brothels, paying for sex in bathrooms, and we won't even discuss Almonds little transgression. When O'Reilly got called out on the "falafel incident" he said it was blackmail. As soon as he found out that she actually had him on tape he was willing to pay or do whatever it took to bury the story. Say someone had a picture of Vitter in his full diaper glory, how much would Vitter be willing to pay or more to the point, do, to keep it under wraps. Leaving yourself open to that kind of blackmail, is a breach of the responsibilities of the office to which you are elected, and you should be removed for being A COMPLETE AND UTTER MORAN! 2 cents worth.

4. Actually, BlowJobGuy was offering to pay the guy so BJG could go down on him.
Now that's what you want the kids to deal with at school.

7. I was wondering about that.. all the stories were kinda vague
about the payment thing. That makes the story even funnier. Comedians couldn't pay for material this good...

2. Some Americans and this government are so corrupt that even if Vitter
had stood there today in a diaper, they would have excused his shortcomings.

This is what happens when you keep lowering standards until there are none left.

3. I don't give two shits what Vitter's sick fantasies are.
It's when he starts financing them on the taxpayers' dime that we should have an issue.

5. question has to be asked: do you think Clinton should've resigned
because he opened himself up to blackmail?

I think Vitter should've resigned because he broke the law. Period. The blackmail argument is a red herring as far as I'm concerned. It could just as easily be applied to Clinton and I don't think Clinton should've resigned. Sure Clinton didn't break the law, but you don't have break the law to leave yourself open to blackmail -- you just have to do something that you don't want to become public because it will not reflect well on you or will cause you difficulties. And there is no doubt that Clinton didn't want his relationship with Lewinsky to become public.

Again, Vitter should resign in disgrace for breaking the law and because he has misled his constituency about his character. Blackmail, or the risk thereof, should not have anything to do with it.

8. And Vitter was also on the taxpayer's dime when he was receiving phone calls during roll call votes
when he was in the house. He should resign!

11. I don't think Clinton should have resigned
what he did was not illegal, and there is a difference between cheating on your wife, and paying a hooker to dress you in a diaper, also there is the matter of hypocrisy. In some country's it's considered a badge of honor to have a mistress. It's not considered a badge of honor to wear a diaper during sex of offer gay blow jobs in a bathroom while you are busy espousing "traditional marriage" and family values. That said I'm no big fan of Clinton. The guy was a jackass who couldn't keep his pants zipped, he could have been the greatest President in history, he chose to throw it away for a stupid blow-job. Then he reneged on his promise to pardon Leonard Peltier, choosing instead to pardon people who might be able to help his wife's political career.

9. Alright, what did the Almond guy do?
and we won't even discuss Almonds little transgression.

There are so many Republican scandals it's difficult keeping track of them!

12. He's the guy who resigned after a complaint was filed
that he "exposed himself and ran around the room yelling to a female co-worker to "suck it baby".. He's in the top 10 this week, check it out..
