Exactly what are your protests to the SUSIE FOR PRESIDENT ads on DU?

Picture this exact same tagline except with a picture of Obama or Hillary or John...

How come the money that can’t be found to insure all children this year can be found every 2 months for the Iraq war?

You wouldn't believe it for a second. You'd either pay no attention to it, or use it as a basis for supporting your own favorite candidate, or you'd be post scathing screeds against the hypocrite who dared post such an ad despite his/her record.

So that's the point. Here's a kid, nothing more, telling you about what is wrong. Seriously fucking wrong.

10. How about a half-minute of seriousness...

What if Hillary, Barack or John had run the same ad with the same copy? With their own photo in place of Susie's of course (you have to be careful to fully explain things here), and their own name. Really.

Look at that Susie ad on the main pages. The sentiment is 100% spot-on, but not one single candidate running for President has taken a similar position. Not even close.

So again, Susie is way more representative of "AMERICA" than any candidate anyone on DU is endorsing.

So why are so many DUers miffed with the ads? Are they moles, or just idiots?

Even if there is absolutely zero possibility of her winning or even getting on the ballot as she is not even close to the legal age, I think it is great to see a young kid running a campaign like this to bring these issues to people's attention.

99% of the ads we see on a daily basis are much more worthy of our complaints than that one is. If you are going to complain about ads complain about the pharmaceutical company ads or the SUV ads that we are constantly exposed to, why complain about a young girl who is doing far more good work than most adults?
