Interesting Bush calls for a Mideast Conference NOW
Translation: "All the bad stuff going on over there could be MY fault! Oh well, time to shift blame around to other people!"

1. Maybe. My thought was 1) We can't attack Iran without Saudi approval. Saudis are pissed about
Palestinian situation, so restart "peace" talks, get other Arabs to blame the Iranians and Syrians, bomb Iran with Saudi consent. 2)Other possibility might be that Smirking Chimp sees that he will have no legacy at all and his ego is telling him he better get on it now and actually "do" something while in office. He's not gonna get many kudos over Iraq, maybe he can salvage something by brokering a "peace" deal.
