going into Iraq was based on a lie and created the disaster before us - whenever it is raised that there were no WMDs, that there were no Al Queda in Iraq, that Iraq was not tied to Al Queda and not responsible for 911 - I want to bang my head against the wall.

I can just picture those on the right, sticking their fingers in their ears, and yelling "I can't hear you....".

Why don't people get it?

We MUST learn from our past.
We just can't go blindly forward.
We can't succeed if those who led us to failure are still in power.
Those with a track record of failure can only fail going forward.

Are we that much smarter than these people? Or is it just the useless fog of politics? Is it more about support of the party, towing the party line, and not at all about our citizens or our troops?

These people care about nothing except for themselves, their power, their positions.
