For her to march up to that podium today and declare her "family values" marital problems a "very private matter"... to play her and her husband as victims of the media and political foes ("they followed us to church!!!11).... and supposedly years AFTER hubby's hiring prostitutes time after time after time to declare the DEMOCRATS as "squashing our values"..... she is no better than he in the pandering hypocrisy department. I have no problem with her forgiving her "best friend" and deciding to keep her marriage intact. But to blame the Democrats for the loss of "values", to try to write into the U.S. CONSTITUION the law that gay couples (including thousands and thousands who do NOT hire hookers) cannot have legal, happy unions... Well, they deserve each other.

The most bitter pill for her to swallow here, I think, is that she probably hoped when he first had to own up to this (just to her and to God), that it was over. So she really more or less has to forgive him yet again - in public. Now, she's front-page news - just because she's married to a hypocritical schmuck. There's nowhere to hide from the prying eyes and the judgmental views.

It's hard when you've been privately shamed. But those things come and go between husbands and wives, in private, and yes, it can at some point be gotten through and considered over. But it's been dragged up again and she's been shamed in public, and all the shit's been dredged back up for everyone everywhere to see.
